Just days after his inauguration, Obama’s first weekly address as President highlights the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan”; focusing on energy independence as a means to create jobs and boost the economy, while creating a mindful attitude of accountability for his administration.

“This is not just a short-term program to boost employment,” he said. “It’s one that will invest in our most important priorities like energy and education; health care and a new infrastructure that are necessary to keep us strong and competitive in the 21st century.”

President Barack Obama is hopeful that his “American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan” will jump-start the economy, while investing in the future of the country’s energy, employment and educational institutions.
