In the past, changes in regulations have also increased the processing time for passport renewals. RushMyPassport.com offers a private passport expediting service that can help customers bypass increased processing times and get their passports faster.

The last time that passport regulations changed, in 2007, the US Passport Agency was flooded with applications, and some travelers reported waiting months for their passport renewals to be processed. Should a similar situation occur this year, RushMyPassport.com offers an…

Companies’ commitment to improved Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is no passing fad, according to the latest annual opinion poll by the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) and KDS , the European leader in on-demand travel and expense systems. However, “green” forms of business travel are suffering in the recession, as organizations prioritize cost-saving over supporting sustainable travel.

The survey found that companies see cost-cutting as the top business travel concern (rated a high priority by 79% of companies), while environmentally sustainable travel is a high priority for only 17%. Overall, environmental sustainability is rated only a mid-level priority for business travel, ranked at this level by 48% of organizations.

This is the fourth consecutive year that ACTE and KDS have gauged business opinion on issues around CSR and business travel. The latest survey was conducted between December 2008 and January 2009 and captured the opinions of 329 travel…

Green Building11 Feb 2009 09:00 am

We had to close registration to our Green Home Seminar in Newbury (Mt. Sunapee), NH this past weekend (with 81 in attendance)– this is a great sign for our economy! We met several couples planning to build a new energy efficient home who want to start the home design process now so they can be ready to build. We had folks come from Maine, Brooklyn, NY, and even had a guest from California! The feedback has been wonderful and everyone has given the seminar great reviews.

NH Architect Jeremy Bonin presented the topic “Green Home Design”, discussing sustainability, the guiding principles of green home design, the phases of design, and passive green design. Popular topics in his presentation were massing, solar orientation, and site factors that affect a home design.
